We raise funds through fundraisers such as the annual luncheon and silent auction, an annual golf tournament, as well as grants from businesses & trusts and donations from individuals.Many of our resources come to us in the form of donated goods from local and national businesses. AHH has a volunteer database in excess of 250 individuals. St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center Located in the heart of Phoenix, Arizona, St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center is a 743-bed, not-for-profit hospital that provides a wide range of health, social and support services, with special advocacy for the poor and underserved. Founded in 1895 by the Sisters of Mercy, St. Joseph's was the first hospital in the Phoenix area. The hospital is part of Catholic Healthcare West (CHW), one of the largest healthcare systems in the West with 42 hospitals in Arizona, California and Nevada. That promise is now Susan G. Komen for the Cure®, the global leader of the breast cancer movement, having invested more than $1 billion since inception in 1982. As the world’s largest grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists, we’re working together to save lives, empower people, ensure quality care for all and energize science to find the cures. Komen Race for the Cure®, and generous contributions from our partners, sponsors and fellow supporters, we have become the largest source of nonprofit funds dedicated to the fight against breast cancer in the world. |
